Senoia is a tiny Coweta County town about 35 miles south of Atlanta that became famous as a filming location for The Walking Dead, whose Woodbury was shot on its Main Street. The zombies are gone, but the town that grew up around the fans is still worth a trip: a restored Main Street of shops, restaurants and Victorian homes, filming-location walking tours and an easy drive to the country around Newnan. Here are the best things to do in Senoia.

Top Things to Do in Senoia

1. Main Street

Two blocks of restored brick storefronts with boutiques, cafes and restaurants, and Victorian homes on the side streets. Park once and walk the whole downtown.

2. Walking Dead filming locations

Main Street stood in for Woodbury on the show, and a neighborhood in town was the Alexandria set; you can see it from the street, but it is private property, so stay on the sidewalk. Guided two-hour walking tours point out the spots.

3. The Woodbury Shoppe

A Walking Dead fan shop at Main and Seavy streets, with show merchandise. Down the street, Senoia Coffee & Cafe played the Woodbury Coffee House, and the sign is still on the wall.

4. Senoia Welcome Center

Start at 68 Main St. for maps, tour information and event calendars.

5. Day trip to Newnan

About 20 minutes west, Newnan has a historic courthouse square, antebellum homes and good restaurants. See our Newnan guide.

Events and Seasons
