Lover’s Oak is a giant live oak growing in the middle of Albany Street at Prince Street in Brunswick’s Old Town. Its trunk is about 13 feet across, and the City of Brunswick estimated in 2005 that it was about 900 years old. Local legend says Native American couples once met beneath its branches, which gave the tree its name.

Visiting
The tree stands in the median, so park on a side street and walk over. A plaque placed in 1987 notes that the oak was already old when the U.S. Constitution was signed.
