Seven Islands Trail MarkerMonticello Crossroads Scenic Byway Driving Tour - Pine forests and rolling pastures dominate the views along the Monticello Crossroads Scenic Byway as it runs through Jasper County. This 29-mile Byway emphasizes the rural and historic qualities of the area as it follows State Highways 11 and 83 heading north from the town of Monticello.

Native Americans and evangelical Methodist Circuit Riders once used these routes as they crossed the state. Several structures and the central business district of Monticello have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Another wonderful place to visit is the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center and public fishing area. This 6,400-acre center, managed by the Georgia DRN Wildlife Resources Division. It offers tons of fun activities and programs. This beautiful area is centrally located in the state in a beautiful wooded setting near Mansfield, Georgia.
