Rules are posted at all ranges. Shooting ranges are not staffed; therefore, use the ranges at your own risk. Archery targets are for field point arrows only, except for Walton, which allows broadheads.

Shooting Ranges - Ranges Rules and Regulations
Region 1 - NW Georgia - 706-295-6041
Chestnut Mountain Shooting Range at Johns Mountain WMA in Floyd County - Facilities: 100-yard range Range Days and Hours: May 1-August 31 at 9 am-8 pm - September 1-April 30 at 9 am-5 pm - Sunday: Closed. Directions: I-75, take exit 320 (Lafayette-Reseca exit). Turn left on Hwy 136 and go approximately 5 miles, turn right where the 136 connector runs into Hwy 136. Go approximately 0.25 miles and the range is on the right. Cost: $5 parking fee
Sumac Creek Shooting Range at Cohutta WMA in Murray County - Facilities: 100-yard range. Range Days and Hours: Sunrise to sunset daily - Closed on Tuesdays until 12noon for area clean up. Directions: Hwy 411 North out of Eton. Turn right on Hwy 2. Go to the end of the pavement and pass the Cohutta WMA entrance sign on right. Continue onto the top of the hill and the range road will be on the right. Cost: $5 parking fee
Region 2 - NE Georgia - 770-535-5700
Wilson Shoals Shooting Range at Wilson Shoals in Banks County - Facilities: 75-yard range
Range Days and Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: 9 am - 7 pm or sunset, whichever is earliest - Tuesday: 12noon until 7 pm or sunset, whichever is earliest. And Sunday: 12 pm-5 pm. Directions: From Gainesville, take Hwy 365 N for 11 miles from exit 24. Turn right on Mud Creek Rd, go 1 mile and turn left on Old Cornelia Hwy. Go .1 mile and turn right on Yonah Rd. Go 2.1 miles and turn left on Grant Mill Rd. The range will be 1 mile on the left. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License. Shooters must also provide their own paper targets, target stand, eye and ear protection.
Region 3 - East Central Georgia - 706-595-4222
Yuchi Range in Yuchi WMA in Burke County - Facilities: 100-yard range - Days and Hours: Tues-Sun: 10am-6pm and closed on Mondays - Directions: From Waynesboro: Take Hwy 80 East, 8 miles to Shell Bluff Community. Turn right on Hwy 23and travel 7miles south. Turn left on Ebenezer Church Road, go 1 mile and range is across from the check station. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License.

Region 4 - West Central Georgia - 478-825-6354
Big Lazer Shooting Range at Big Lazer WMA in Talbot County - Facilities: 100 yard range. Range Days and Hours: Monday-Sunday sunrise to sunset. Directions: From Talbotton, take Pobiddy Road east to Bunkham Road. Turn left on Bunkham Road and go 2.2 miles.
Cedar Creek Shooting Range at Cedar Creek WMA in Putnam County - Facilities: 100 yard and 50 yard ranges. Range Days and Hours: Open Thursday - Sunday at 10am - 6 pm. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days. Also closed if no range attendant is on site.

Directions From Monticello: Take Highway 212 southeast for 12.6 miles to Bradley Road. Turn right and go 1.4 miles to the shooting range. Directions From Eatonton: Go 0.2 mile southeast on N Jefferson St toward W Marion St. Continue onto Oak St. for 1.8 mile. Take Milledgeville Rd. 0.2 mile. Then go 8 miles on GA-44 W/Gray Rd. Turn right onto GA-212 W/Kinderhook Rd. and go 4.3 mi to Bradley Road. Turn left and go 1.4 miles to the shooting range. Requirements: Shooters must provide their own paper targets and target stand. Clothespins also can be used to affix targets to existing “fence”.
Clybel Shooting Range at Clyble WMA - Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center in Jasper County - Facilities: 100 yard and 50 yard ranges. Shotgun Range (skeet, trap and 5-stand). Range Days and Hours: Tuesday -Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm. Closed on Sunday and Monday. Directions: From Mansfield: Take GA Hwy 11 South for 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Marben Farms Road, travel 1.5 miles. Turn left at range sign. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License. Shotgun Range Fees: Round of 25 for $6.25. Note: Everyone shooting at the shotgun range must have started shooting their final round 45 minutes prior to close to ensure they complete the round by the range closing time of 6 pm. Due to training courses occurring at Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, the 50-yard shooting range will be closed on the following dates: December 14, 2013, February 22, 2014, March 29, 2014, September 20, 2014 and November 22, 2014. Ocmulgee Shooting Range at Ocmulgee WMA in Pulaski County. Facilities: 100 yard and 50 yard ranges - Range Days and Hours: Tuesday-Saturday at 10am - 6 pm, and Sunday 1 pm - 6pm. Closed on Monday. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days. Directions: From Hawkinsville take US Hwy 341 south to GA Hwy 26. Turn left and travel 0.3 miles to Upper River Road. Turn left and travel approximately 4.5 miles to range sign. Turn left on WMA dirt road and travel 2.0 miles to range. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License.
West Point Shooting Range at West Point WMA in Troup County Facilities: 100 yard range. Range Days and Hours: Tuesday-Saturday: 10am - 6pm and Sunday at 1-6pm. Closed on Monday. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Directions: From Lagrange, take GA Hwy 219 North. 1 mile north of the Chattahoochee River Bridge, turn right at range sign.

Hannahatchee Creek Shooting Range at Hannahatchee Creek WMA in Stewart County - Facilities: 175 yard and 35 yard ranges (35 yard range is handgun only). Range Days and Hours: Tuesday-Sunday: sunrise to sunset. Closed on Monday. Directions: From Richland, take GA Hwy 27 west toward Lumpkin. Go 4 miles to the 1st paved road and turn right. Go 3 miles and turn left. Go 1 mile to 1st dirt road on right. Turn right and proceed approximately 0.5 miles and range will be on right. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License. Call for shotgun ammunication rules.
Mayhaw Shooting Range at Mayhaw WMA in Miller County - Facilities: 100-yard range. Range Hours: Tuesday-Sunday: sunrise to sunset - Monday: CLOSED. Directions: From Colquitt, take GA Hwy 91 west approximately 1mile. Turn left on 1st dirt road past the Georgia Forestry Commission fire tower. The range is on the left. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License. Call for shotgun ammunication rules.
Mike Commander Shooting Range at Chickasawhatchee WMA in Dougherty County. 200-yard range (rifle) and 50-yard range (pistol). Range hours: Tues-Sat at 10am-6pm and Sunday at
12pm-6pm. Closed on Monday. Directions: From Albany, from the intersection of Hwy 91 (Newton Road) and Hwy 234 (Oakridge Road), travel south on Hwy 91 approximately 4.7 miles. Turn right on Hwy 62 (Leary Road) and travel west 11.6 miles. Turn left at the intersection of Hwy 62 and Pine Island Road onto dirt WMA access road. Travel 0.3 miles to range. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License. Call for shotgun ammunication rules.
Region 6 - SE Georgia - 229-426-5267
Beaverdam Range at Beaverdam WMA in Laurens County - Facilities: 100-yard range. Range Hours: Daily sunrise to sunset. Directions: From Dublin, take US 441 north 4.5 miles. Turn right on Old Toomsboro Road. Go 7.5 miles to WMA sign. Turn right on Oconee Church Road. Turn at WMA sign and go approximately 1 mile past the check station to reach the range. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License.
Big Hammock Range at Big Hammock WMA in Tattnail County - Facilities: 100 yard range. Range Hours: Daily sunrise to sunset. Directions: From Glennville, take Hwy 144 south 12 miles to Altamaha River. Enter area toward check station on east side of the Hwy just prior to the Altamaha River Bridge. Bear left at check station for 75 yards to reach shooting range. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License.
Bullard Creek Range at Bullard Creek WMA in Jeff Davis County - Facilities: 100 and 25 yard ranges. Range Hours: Daily sunrise to sunset. Directions: From Hazlehurst take US 221 north 6.5 miles. Turn right on County Rd 185. Go to Philadelphia Church, turn left onto dirt road, go about 1.5 miles to shooting range on left. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License.
Dixon Memorial Range at Dixon Memorial WMA in Ware County - Facilities: 100 and 25 yard ranges. Range Hours: Daylight hours. Directions: From Waycross, take US 1 south 6 miles to GA Hwy 177 (Swamp Park Road). Turn right and travel approximately 0.75 miles. Turn left under power line onto Crews Blvd. Follow signs- approximately 3.5 miles to shooting range. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License.

Richmond Hill Range at Richmond Hill WMA in Bryan County - Facilities: 100-yard range. Range Hours: Now-Mar 15, 2014 at 9am-5pm. Mar 16-Sep 15, 2014 at 9am-8pm. Closed on Tuesdays. Directions:Follow Hwy 144 east from Richmond Hill to Kilkenny Road. Range is approximately 1 mile down Kikenny Road on left. Follow signs. Requirements: You are required to have a GORP or Qualifying License. Note: This Range will be closed Nov. 15, 2013 -Jan. 15, 2014 for construction projects.

McDuffie PFA Archery Range in McDuffie County - 706-595-1619 - 8-bullseye target - Open during daylight hours Directions from Thomson: South on Highway 17 to US Highway 278; left (east) for 5.6 miles; right on Ellington Airline Road for 2.8 miles; right on Fish Hatchery Road for 0.8 miles.
