Heritage Museum of Gilmer County promotes arts and the local history of Gilmer County. The Heritage Committee has been gathering ideas and items for almost a year. The permanent collection will be exclusively Gilmer items, whereas the rotating exhibits will not be exclusive to the county. It begins with prehistoric dwellers, who moved into this area 12,000 years ago or more. We have artifacts which are 10,000 years old. It is appropriate for ages 8 and up. Free admission.
