Carnegie Center - This exhibit hall for area artists includes folk art and crafts, pottery, oils, waterfalls and stained glass. The Carnegie Center is located in the historic Carnegie Library. It originally opened in 1915 as the Carnegie Library. The newly renovated space boasts an upstairs meeting room gallery as well as the larger 1st floor gallery. The local Arts Council currently staffs the facility and maintain a rotating calendar of visual art shows as well as a monthly chamber music series. Crescent House & Gardens was built in 1898 by US Senator William Stanley, it got its name from the distinctive semi-circular portico design. This neoclassical structure built in 1898 was the former home of U.S. Senator William S. West and is Valdosta's most well known landmark. Fitzgerald Grand Theater - This restored movie theater of the 1930s is a performance theater with seats, an orchestra pit and movie projection system with silver screen. This facility can show historic and first run 35 mm film in addition to full live concert and dramatic capabilities. The auditorium seats include areas reserved for patrons in wheelchairs and their companions. Large dressing rooms backstage accommodate many performers.
