Best Corn Mazes and Pumpkin Patches in Georgia

Georgia's fall farm season runs from mid-September through early November, and corn mazes and pumpkin patches are the heart of it. We picked four working farms spread across the state, from the metro Atlanta suburbs down to the coastal plain, that go beyond just a field of pumpkins with real mazes, hayrides, and animals to see.

1. Buford Corn Maze

Location: Buford, in the northern Atlanta suburbs   Season: Mid-September through mid-November

Buford Corn Maze is the closest full farm-fall experience to metro Atlanta on this list, with a real corn maze cut into a dry-corn field, hayrides, a corn box made from an old-fashioned hand-crank corn sheller, and antique farm equipment on display. For anyone looking for a scare, the farm’s 2026 haunt, Scream Zone: The 13th Row, opens at dusk Fridays through Sundays from September 25 to November 15 and every night of Halloween week. 2. Cagle's Family Farm

Location: Holly Springs, between Canton and Roswell   Season: Fall weekends

Cagle's Family Farm leans into the animal side of a farm visit as much as the maze: goats, ducks, pigs, and dairy cows are all part of the walk-through, with a hayride and dairy cow milking demonstrations added in. It is a good pick if young kids are more interested in the animal barn than a full corn maze. See our Cagle's Family Farm page for hours and directions.

2026 season: September 25 through November 1, 2026; Fridays 5 to 10 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. General admission is $15 (ages 3 and up), with pumpkins priced separately.

3. Calhoun Produce

Location: Ashburn, in south Georgia   Season: October

Calhoun Produce is a working, Georgia Farm Bureau certified farm market year-round, but every October it cuts a corn maze into one of its fields, some years shaped like the state of Georgia itself. 4. Poppell Farm

Location: Odum, in southeast Georgia   Season: Fall, plus Christmas tree sales after Thanksgiving

Poppell Farm has been a family farm since 1988, growing produce on about 400 acres, and it adds a pumpkin patch and corn maze field trips every fall. The farm is upfront that Georgia's climate does not always cooperate with growing its own pumpkins, so some years it trucks them in from Tennessee to make sure there are enough for visitors, a detail worth knowing if you are picking a patch based on locally grown pumpkins specifically. 2026 season: October 3 through November 1, 2026. Daytime visits (Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays noon to 5 p.m.) are $18.95 online or $19.95 at the gate for ages 4 and up; Friday and Saturday night visits (5 to 9 p.m.) are $10.95 online, without the hayride.

Newnan’s best-known patch, Uncle Bob’s Pumpkin Patch, closed for good after its 2018 season. These are the closest options we could confirm were open for fall 2026 when we checked on October 1, 2026.

Wargo’s Pumpkin Patch, Grantville (Coweta County): The closest to Newnan, about 15 minutes south. Open Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 6 p.m. from September 19, with pumpkins for sale, hayrides, fall photo spots and crafts, plus food trucks on October weekends. It is on Johnson Road in Grantville; call 770-377-8635 or check the Wargo’s Facebook page for current hours.

Ole McDermitt’s Farm, Carrollton (Carroll County): About 40 minutes west of Newnan. A full farm visit with a corn maze, hayride, petting zoo, giant slides, jumping pillow, duck races and a corn box, plus gem mining as a $6 add-on. Admission is $15 for ages 2 and up, and the farm’s October calendar has it open Thursdays through Mondays (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Book or check open days at olemcdermittsfarm.com.

Southern Belle Farm, McDonough (Henry County): About an hour east of Newnan and the biggest operation of the three. The farm market, bakery and pumpkin patch are free to enter Wednesday through Sunday; the four-acre corn maze, hayrides, pig races, cow train and other activities are part of ticketed weekend admission (Saturdays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sundays 1 to 7 p.m.). Call ahead: Farm fall attractions are weather-dependent and family-run, so hours posted online can be out of date. A quick call before you drive out saves a wasted trip.
