Whether you are a hunter or
angler, birdwatcher or hiker, canoer, or just enjoy the outdoors,
Georgia's Wildlife Resources Division Areas (WRDs) are for you! Georgia has more
than 100 Wildlife Management Areas, Natural Areas and Public Fishing Areas
throughout the state and within an hour's drive of every Georgian. The GA Dept.
of Natural Resources and Wildlife Resources Div. (WRD) are charged with managing, protecting and encouraging
the conservation of all wildlife, including game and non-game animals, fish and
protected plants.

map numbers. As you mouse over the numbers, it will show the name of
the WMA, Public Fishing Area, Natural Area, Archery Range or Firearms Range at
that location. Click on the location you are interested in. You will
go to the WRD page that has that location's information including its amenities,
contact number, address and directions. The listings in the WRD Page correspond with the numbers
in this map.
