Labor-less Day - 9/1/14 at 11am-9pm
This day is all about play, not work. Come and relax at the park with a picnic or a swim. Challenge your family or friends to a mini-golf game, make some fun crafts, meet a live critter and take a stroll through the woods at night. Cost is $1-$5 per activity and $5 parking fee. 16th Annual G.R.I.T.S. Labor Day Bike Ride - 9/1/14 at 8am
There are three rides scheduled. The Metric Century 100km ride will begin at 9 a.m. and is 62.1 miles long. The ride will start at the Welcome Center in Cedartown, Ga. with registration at 8 a.m. The Metric Century includes winding roads with pastoral scenery and variable elevations. This ride is physically demanding and should not be attempted unless you are in excellent condition. The Bike or Blades ride begins at 9:15 a.m. and is 27 miles long. This ride will take you from Cedartown to Rockmart City Park and back. Ride the Comet to Bama & Back begins at 9:30 a.m. and is 20 miles long. This ride will take you from Cedartown to the Alabama State Line Archway and back. Bike Helmets are required! Handicapped Accessible event. This event will take place rain or shine! Salzburger Heritage Day - 9/1/14 at 9:30am-3pm
This year's Heritage Day events include celebrating the 280th anniversary of our landing in Georgia. All are welcome on Labor Day, September 1, 2014! The Georgia Salzburger Society is located near the eastern end of Ebenezer Road, next to Jerusalem Lutheran Church and on the grounds surrounding the Salzburger Museum buildings.
