This year's show - with new music from his #1 all-genre Top 200 Selling Albums The Devil Don't Sleep - has been striking a chord with his already passionate fanbase. The Reading Eagle wrote of opening night, "far from an outlier; Gilbert stuck his microphone out for audience participation in nearly every song, and they were happy to oblige. This wasn't music for thinking, it was music for escaping" and touring industry trade Pollstar echoed, "on a brief instrumental honky tonk interlude that allowed the five musicians backing Gilbert to show off their chops, the music was heavily country. But for much of the the show, it was an amalgam of styles Gilbert grew up listening to, incorporating crunchy guitars, drum machines, even some rapped verses."

Willie Sugarcapps at Serenbe - 7/15/17 - 7/15/17 at 8:00PM - 10:00PM (Saturday)
Birthed from a series of casual Southern Alabama songwriter-in-the-round jam sessions, Willie Sugarcapps is an organic outgrowth of the chemistry between five distinct musicians. Within these sessions, among the pot luck dishes served and a stage built to resemble a back porch, a connection brewed between Kimbrough, Crawford, Lee, Capps, and Hughes. Individually, these musicians have written, recorded, and toured throughout the US, with the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Kate Campbell, Dwight Yoakam, and Steve Winwood, to name a few. The collaboration of such songwriting expertise inspired a repertoire of material that became their 2013 self-titled debut album, which was awarded "Americana Album Of The Year" by the Independent Music Association. Willie Sugarcapps went on to build a solid following, and performed on such lauded programs as Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour, NPR's Mountain Stage and Music City Roots. Obviously, one album wasn't enough to contain the kin.General Admission is $20. Free Parking Phone: 770-463-9350 | 678-877-2296 - Address: Serenbe Pavilion 10950 Hutcheson Ferry Rd.
