Each year Andersonville National Cemetery hosts a series of activities to commemorate the Memorial Day Holiday. On the Friday before the holiday, the Avenue of Flags is raised in the National Cemetery by volunteers. Throughout the weekend, volunteers honor our veterans by participating in the Flag Placement Program. Annual Lumber City Farm Day Festival - 9/6 - 9/8/13 - See times below
Spend the evening, day or entire weekend with Lumber City as we celebrate the "good ole days" when the locals gathered on Main Street every Saturday, to play guitars, sing and enjoy good food. Friday, from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., enjoy arts, crafts, and food booths; a kids amusement park with slides and rides. The Street Dance begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, festivities are planned from 9 a.m. to midnight.
