Lake Blue Ridge Fireworks Celebration - 7/4/2008 at 3 pm - 10 pm
Join us at the Lake Blue Ridge Marina for Barbeque and live music from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Featuring an exciting Fireworks display at dusk. This is fun and food for the entire family. Free family fun!

Fourth of July Celebration - 7/4/2008 at 10 am
All-day celebration held annually in Tallapoosa. Begins at 10 a.m. with ceremony at Veteran's Memorial Park, parade at 1 p.m. followed by afternoon activities at Helton Howland Park. We would like to personally invite any and everyone to come join us in our parade. The day's activities include swimming, cookout, parade, memorial dedication, entertainment, free watermelon and corn on the cob with the fireworks show beginning shortly after dark. Old Timer's Day Celebration Parade - 7/5/2008 at 11 am - 1 pm

Guided Battlefield Tour - 8/16/2008 at 2 pm - 4 pm
Take a guided tour on one of the best-preserved Civil War battlefields in the nation. Ask your unanswered questions and they shall be answered. Terrain is rugged and it is recommended you wear proper gear for hiking. $1.75 - $3.

Step back in time to the 1800s as demonstrators present harvest activities at the Vaughan Cabin. Experience the evolution of early American life as interpreters and skilled crafts people bring the past to life. Try your hand at many pioneer skills through hands-on activities. $3 parking.

The Battle of Allatoona Pass - 10/4/2008 at 10 am - 5 pm
Tour the hillside and the railroad cut through the pass. Walk that trails, visit the star fort earthworks, and follow the old Tennessee Road just as the soldiers did in 1864. Explore daily life in the tent city, see rifle and cannon firing demonstrations.
