Creation Station - 4/19/14 at 11am
Creation Stations are geared towards elementary and middle school aged children to introduce them to the world of art. Participants will create a kindness bucket in this Creation Station. Photography 101 (Class 1-Lighting) - 4/19/14 at 11am-1pm
Join Georgia State University professor Nancy Floyd, the artist-in-residence at Sweetwater Creek, as we learn about lighting. You don't need an expensive camera to take good pictures. A simple point-and-shoot will do. Bring your manual. This class offers easy to understand instructions, classroom time and a hike to the old mill to learn about natural light. Ages 12 and older. Cost are $15 Admission Fee and $5 Parking Fee.

Geology Hike - 4/19/14 at 1-3pm
Geologist John Johnston will lead a moderate 2-mile hike identifying rocks and explaining how and when they formed. He will also explain the tectonic events that forced the rock units to be faulted and folded. There will be a short visit inside the ruins of the Civil War-era New Manchester Mill. Admission is $1-$2 and $5 vehicle parking fee.

"Park Nights, City Lights" Night Hike - 4/19/14 at 7-9pm
Join us for a strenuous, 3 mile night hike to the beautiful east side of the park where we will hike to the "Indian Cave" and climb the East Ridge to view the Atlanta skyline. This hike is open to anyone 16 years and older. A flashlight and sturdy, closed toe shoes are required. Meet at the Visitor's Center. Registration required. Bleeding Gray & Blue Walking Tours - 4/19/14 at 11am-3pm
Join us as we walk the Historic Marietta Square with noted historian Brad Quinlin. These fascinating tours will highlight the places and events around the square. Beginning in September of 1863, soldiers wounded in the battles of Chickamauga were shipped down the railroad to Marietta hospitals. Until recently, little was known about where these Confederate hospitals were located and who ran them. Also featured will be information on how these hospitals were again used by the Union Army in 1864 as the battle of Kennesaw Mountain raged on. Hour long tours will be held at 11 am and 2 pm. Photographers and Artists Morning Out - 4/19/14 at 10am-12noon
Photographers and artists will have access to restricted areas of the park to draw, paint or photograph scenic Panola Mountain. A park ranger with an art background will be on hand as a guide, with tips, painting supplies and knowledge of the flora and fauna of the granite mountain. $10 Admission Fee plus $5 Parking Fee.

Eggciting Hike Hunt - 4/19/14 at 1pm
Peter Cottontail is leaving lots of eggs hidden on our nature trails this spring. Bring your basket and picnic to spend the day at the park. Ages 1-5 and 6-11 will have their own trails to search for eggs and prizes. We will start the egg hunt at 1 PM and will have face painting, arts and crafts, and games to play throughout the afternoon. $1 admission per person and $5 vehicle parking fee.

Tree Top Excursions: Introduction Climb - 4/19/14 at 1pm
Join us "on rope" for an adventure exploring the canopy above. Participants will use rope and harness for this moderately strenuous activity. The Bucket List Exhibit - 4/19, 4/22-4/26 & 4/29-4/30/14
As part of The Bucket List exhibit, the Feature Gallery will showcase a solo show "As Seen by Malgorzata Florkowska." There will be a preview party on April 4th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Experience serenity and peace as the Stone Mountain Sunrise Association presents two simultaneous, non-denominational Easter services at the top of the mountain and at the base of the mountain on Memorial Lawn. The molten domes of magma that cooled to form our outcrops were generated from the heat and friction at the edges to colliding continental plates about 500 million years ago. Walk along the granite to see endangered plant species blooming and mosses and lichens that take 25 years to grow 1 square inch. Meet at the Visitors Center. $5 parking fee. Lemonade Days - 4/23 - 4/27/14
Celebrating our historic and triumphant past, Lemonade Days is a family-oriented festival of fairground rides, face painting, food, crafts, pony rides, demonstrations and art exhibitions. Proceeds benefit the Dunwoody Preservation Trust. The large carnival and midway area are the centerpiece of the festival, but craft lovers and even the smallest children will find plenty to do amidst all the joyful celebrations.
