Macro-invertebrate Investigation - 2/25/17 at 10am-1pm
Come down to the riverside, at the base of the New Manchester ruins, to look up close and personal at some of the macroscopic creatures that are essential to life in and around Georgia's waterways. This event is open to all ages. If you would like to help look for critters, please wear close toed water shoes or boots. Free fun event! $5 parking fee.

This two-mile ranger-led hike will be moderately strenuous and will pass through a variety of wildflower habitats and beautiful areas. Meet in the Interpretive Center. Funny Bones: The Comedy of Charlie Chaplin with Dan Kamin and Steven Ball, organ - 2/26/17 at 3pm
Charlie Chaplin has been making audiences laugh for over a hundred years now, and you'll find out why in this one-of-a-kind program with Dan Kamin, who trained Robert Downey Jr. for his Oscar-nominated performance in Chaplin and created Johnny Depp's comedy moves for Benny and Joon. In Funny Bones, Kamin takes audiences on a magical excursion into Chaplin's enchanted comic world through film clips, live performance, and the screening of a newly restored print of The Pawnshop, Chaplin's 1916 comedy classic, complete with live accompaniment by Steven Ball on Spivey Hall's magnificent Albert Schweitzer Memorial Organ. 11th Annual Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon - 3/19/17 at 7am
The race starts under city lights at Centennial Olympic Park, built for the 1996 Olympic games, before taking you on a tour of the "Empire of the South." Along the way, you'll be motivated by cheers from enthusiastic volunteers and residents of a dozen of the city's most scenic neighborhoods. Take note of the famous landmarks that you pass, including the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site, Piedmont Park, the Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, Coca-Cola headquarters, and more! Cheering students from four of the city's largest universities will add to the excitement as you return to the downhill finish and post-race celebration back in Centennial Park.
