"Ruins to Rapids" Full Moon Hike - 12/2 & 12/31/2009 at 7-9 pm
This 1.5-mile guided hike is moderately difficult and visits the Civil War-era textile mill ruins of New Manchester and follows the lovely rapids (up to class IV) of Sweetwater Creek. Volunteers are invited to lend a hand with projects to improve the park's recreational and environmental resources. Removing invasive plants improves native habitat, while grounds maintenance (such as spreading woodchip mulch along trails) will assist with erosion control. Advanced Fly Fishing Clinic - 12/26/2009 at 10 am - 12 pm
