We have partnered with Waterfront Wine & Gournet to to offer you organic grown Georgia wine created by Horse Creek Winery in Sparks, GA. Their exceptional wines are hand made on their 40 acre vineyard and are aged to perfection in genuine French Oak Barrels to bring you a taste of the South that you won't forget. While cruising, we often view many of the creatures that inhabit these waters. It's always a thrill to see dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, egrets, herons, roseate spoonbills, and osprey in their natural habitat as the day winds down and you can appreciate the beauty and the splendor of the area while sipping a lovely variety of wines. Annual Rock Shrimp Festival - 10/1/16 at 9am-5pm
St. Marys continues its long-standing tradition of family fun with a full day of events, including a 5K run, kids' activities, a themed parade featuring decorated floats, fire trucks, tractors, golf carts and more. Downtown will be overflowing with all-day entertainment, demonstrations, arts and crafts vendors, food concessionaires, and, of course, the sweet-tasting rock shrimp that is the event's namesake. At 7:30 a.m., the 5K start and at 10 a.m., the parade begins. Handicapped Accessible (Limited) event. Pets are welcome. Free admission and parking. First Saturday Hike - 10/1/16 at 8-10am
Join us for the first Saturday hike of the month on Red Bird Creek Trail. Explore the wetlands and maritime forests with our Naturalist. The hike is about 3.5 miles. Please wear proper hiking attire. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Dogs are welcome but must be on a 6 ft. leash. Costs are $2 per person and $5 parking fee. St. Marys Express Railroad Days Train Rides - 10/1/16 at 9am-5pm
Ride the train to where Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn are hoping to find the pirates buried treasure before Injun Joe does. Build a scarecrow. View unique train cars. Watch a parade. Attend the Rock Shrimp Festival. Trains leave from Theatre by the Trax in St. Marys to the midway point where characters from yesteryear entertain you.
