Savannah Music Festival - 3/30 - 4/3/10 Various Events, Times and Locations
Festival is dedicated to presenting a world-class celebration of the musical arts by creating timeless and adventurous productions that stimulate arts education, foster economic growth, and unite artists and audiences in Savannah, Georgia. For nearly three weeks in late March and early April, the SMF produces over 100 programs for adults and children in theatres, schools and historic and intimate venues. Featuring an array of musical performances that includes dance, film and narrative programs, more than 400 classical, jazz, blues, bluegrass, and international artists make SMF a distinctive destination event and one of the highlights of springtime in Savannah. This year, the Festival announces its most artistically diverse lineup to date, including several commissioned works and a wealth of original productions showcasing a wide variety of American and International music traditions.

57th Annual Tour or Homes - 3/20/10
Visitors will be treated to homes and gardens on both Islands featuring styles ranging from low-country, old south plantations to old world European estates. In addition to the elegant homes so generously opened for this special event, tour stops will include Musgrove Plantation; Wesley Memorial Gardens and Christ Church. Each stop on the tour will offer something unique, either through its’ architecture, location, decoration or landscaping. GACA North vs. South All-Star Basketball Classic - 3/20 - 3/21/10 at 12 Noon - 6 pm

75th Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens - 3/25 - 3/28/10
This annual spring event offers self-guided walking tours through private homes and gardens in Savannah's Historic District. Each day a variety of home and garden sites will be opened to tour guests. Each day a different neighborhood is featured, so a ticket is required for each day's tour. Guests will have a three-hour time period to tour the different sites each day. Marsh Kayak Trip - 3/27 at 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM & 3/30/10 at 3-6 pm
This moderately strenuous, 3-hour paddle through the salt marshes around Crooked River. Paddlers will explore sandbars, watch for birds, dolphin and other wildlife while learning about the wonders of the marsh. Wear comfortable clothing that can get wet (swim clothes under layered tops like fleece and/or windbreakers are best.) Avoid cotton. Bring water shoes (no flip flops please), snacks, water, sunscreen, hat, and bug spray. Participants must be 6 years of age or more and accompanied by a parent or guardian if under 18 years old. Beach Bum Parade - 5/21/10 at 6:30-&;30 pm
Like most parades, there are floats pulled behind cars and trucks. Unlike most parades, however, the floats, often trailers or boats, are filled with water-throwing paraphernalia. Spectators, lined up along the parade route on Butler Avenue, are armed with buckets, squirt guns and hoses. What results is an all-out water war for fun loving beach bums of all ages.
