Every summer on the third Saturday of June, July, and August, Movies in the Park takes place at Memorial Park. You are invited to bring a chair and/or a blanket along with your to-go orders from one of Tybee's fabulous restaurants to the park and relax while catching a complimentary movie. The movie will begin after the sun sets and the evening sky is dark enough for the stars to be seen in the sky and on the screen.The movie for July's showing will be "Monster Trucks." In cases of inclement weather, the movie will be shown inside the gym. I Pledge for Ice Cream Project - 7/1/17 - 7/31/17 at 4:00PM - 7:00PM
July is almost here and at Leopold's Ice Cream that means two things – National Ice Cream Month and the start of the I Pledge for Ice Cream Project! As a way to say "Thanks for Your Patriotism," on Mondays in July from 4-7 p.m., Leopold's Ice Cream will give any child (age 12 and under, accompanied by an adult) who can recite the Pledge of Allegiance a free child's scoop of their choice in a cup, cake or sugar cone! The dates are as follows: July 1, 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31. That's six, I Pledge events this year! Ice cream entrepreneur and Hollywood movie producer, Stratton Leopold and his wife Mary, launched the I Pledge for Ice Cream Project in Savannah, Ga. on July 1, 2010, to underscore the importance of teaching patriotism to young children. Canned Counties -8/1/17 - 8/1/17 at 8:00AM
All month long you will be able to drop canned goods off at the park's Visitor's Center. This is a Tri-County competition between Ware, Brantley, and Pierce Counties.
