From January 16-25, 2015, participating restaurants will offer a three-course, prix fixe menu thatfeatures dinner priced between $25-$30 (tax and gratuity additional). The Annual Old-Time Oyster Roast, sponsored by the Kingsland Lions Club, will be held on Super Bowl weekend. Critz Tybee Run Fest - 2/6 at 6-8pm & 2/7/15 at 7am-2pm
Run a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, 2.8 Mile Beach Run, and a 1-Mile Run. You can do 1, 2, 3, 4, or all 5 events - whichever you choose. If you participate in all five events, the distances add up to 26.2 miles - a full marathon spread over Friday evening and Saturday. George Washington Memorial Walk - 2/15/15 at 2:30-3:30pm
The George Washington Memorial Walk is an afternoon procession, with many participants dressed in period clothing. They escort a wagon carrying a flag draped coffin from the waterfont of the historic district to the corner of Conyers St. and Osborne St. Upon arriving at the Washington Memorial, the original Washington memorial service is re-read in honor of George Washington. Residents were located so far South that the news of George Washington's death did not reach the town for more than 30 days after his death. Citizens felt compelled to hold a service when the news was finally received, and today the town of St. Marys still commemorates this event. Handicapped Accessible event. Free admission and parking. For the past two years, local businesses and the fans opened their arms to help create one of the most talked about Elvis events of the year. The annual event is a three-day festival celebrating the life and music of Elvis Presley through live performances of his music. It is sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., the company that controls the estate of Elvis Presley and operates Graceland.
