On the western edge of Lookout Mountain, this is one of the most scenic parks in the state. It has rugged geology and beautiful vistas. This 3,538-acre park straddles a deep gorge cut into the mountain by Sitton Gulch Creek, and elevation ranges from 800 to 1,980 feet.

The park's 600-step staircase leads to two waterfalls that cascade over sandstone and shale - a strenuous climb, but worth it.
Camping & Lodging
Campground with Electricity
Each 40-ft site holds 1-2 tents, a pop-up trailer, or a trailer/motorhome up to 40'. Water, 20 & 30 amp electrical service, picnic table, grill, and fire ring. Comfort station with washer/dryer, no cable. Maximum 6 people and 2 vehicles per site.
Back Country Campsites
Up to 12 people and 3 tents per site. Picnic table, fire ring, and a pit privy for the area; water must be carried in. No vehicle or bicycle access. Sites sit along a two-mile loop trail, and campground showers are not available to backcountry guests.
Group Shelter
Enclosed and heated (no AC), with a kitchen (stove and refrigerator), fireplace, and grills inside and out. A refundable deposit equal to the use fee is required at arrival. All visitors need a ParkPass.
Group Lodge
Sleeps 40. Four bedrooms with bunk beds, men's and women's restrooms with showers, central heat/AC, outside grill, picnic table, and fire ring. Kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, sink, dish sterilizer, commercial ice maker, and utensils. Bring your own linens and toilet tissue.
Cottages, 2 Bedroom
Each bedroom has two double beds. Cottages 2, 4, and 5 have 2 full baths; cottages 6-16 have 1. Bed and bath linens provided, fireplace (wood not included), heat/AC, TV, screened porch, grill, picnic table, fire ring, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher.
Cottages, 3 Bedroom
Sleeps 10, two baths, located on the East Rim of the canyon. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, toaster, fireplace (wood not included), heat/AC, TV, screened porch, grill, picnic table, and fire ring.
Picnic Shelters
All 5 shelters require a park pass and allow a maximum of 25 vehicles.

Each shelter has electricity, lights, water, and a grill; Shelter #5's restrooms are seasonal (call the park to confirm).

Reservations & Cancellation Policy
Cancellations
Must be made at least 3 days before arrival for a refund, minus a handling fee. Changes made less than 3 days out count as a cancellation and forfeit the deposit.
Cottage Reservations (7-14 day)
Cancellations 30+ days out get a deposit refund minus the facility's cancellation fee. Inside 30 days but before 72 hours of arrival, request a refund in writing; if the cottage is rebooked for the same dates, you'll get a full refund minus a $10 fee. Within 72 hours of arrival, no refund is given.
Check-In/Check-Out
Check-in is 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., check-out before 1 p.m. Register and present a reservation confirmation before setting up. Not arriving on the first night counts as a no-show, canceling the reservation and forfeiting the deposit.
Reservation Changes
One change is allowed at no charge with 3 days' notice. Additional changes incur a $10 per-reservation handling fee.
