Fort Washington Park
Park Amenities: 6 acres. Creek, walking trails, benches, and picnic tables. It is conveniently located just off of downtown behind the Wilkes County Courthouse. The park is at the approximate site of one of the forts built by the earliest settlers of Washington. Open all year.
Holiday Park - Thurmond/Clarks Hill Lake
Park Amenities: 333 acres. Fishing, boat ramp, picnic area and primitive camping.
Washington-Wilkes Parks and Recreation
Park Amenities: Youth football and cheerleading, youth soccer, little league baseball, girls’ softball, youth basketball and track and field. Additionally, the after-school program serves over 100 children.
