West Point Lake is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has 520 miles of shoreline with 26,000 acres of water and 30,000 acres of public land. Located around the lake are day use parks, campgrounds, two commercial marinas, beach areas, fishing piers, firing range and public hunting areas. Most parks have picnic shelters, boat launching ramps with courtesy docks, nature trails and great access to the lake for fishing.
