Large Hadron Collision: New Works by Matt Rebholz

Reception, Thursday, August 27, 5 - 6:30 pm

Rebholz’s new prints and drawings explore the intersections of science fact, science fiction and the architecture of utopianism. The work finds its influences in comic books, technical illustration, and the newly opened Large Hadron Collider, the largest and most complex scientific instrument in history.

Rebholz won the Best in Show Award at the Southern Printmaking Biennale held in 2008 at the Bob Owens Art Gallery, NGCSU. His work is included in the collections of the Springfield Art Museum (Springfield, MO), and the University of Wisconsin, Parkside. Rebholz is Assistant Professor of Printmaking and Drawing at Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas.
