With modern-day facilities amidst reminders of days gone by, this 741-acre park offers a wonderful mix of history and outdoor recreation.
Anglers can enjoy great lake fishing for largemouth bass, crappie and bream, as well as boat ramps and a fishing pier. Campers find shaded campsites along the edge of quiet Hamburg Lake, fed by the Little Ogeechee River. The restored 1921 water-powered gristmill is still operational and grinds corn during events, when the park’s museum of old agricultural tools also opens.

Camping
Campsites with Electricity
50-foot sites hold 1 tent, 2 tents, a pop-up trailer, or a trailer or motorhome up to 50 feet. Water, 30-amp electric, lantern post, picnic table, grill and fire ring. No cable hookups. Collecting firewood is permitted. Within 300 yards of a comfort station with hot showers. Maximum 6 people and 2 vehicles per site.
Pioneer Campsite
A primitive, rugged site for groups only, minimum 10 people, located by itself near the lake. Water, small shelter, picnic tables and grills. No electricity.
Picnic & Group Shelters
All visitors are required to have a ParkPass.
Picnic Shelters #1 & #2
Open-sided covered shelters with lake views near the playground, each with 4 tables, electricity, water and a grill. The area restroom is closed November through February.
Group Shelter
A historic building converted into a screened shelter, with a back deck overlooking the waterfall. Kitchen area with stove, refrigerator, hot water sink and serving table, plus a large grill outside.
