The big international farmers market on Shackleford Road in Duluth now goes by NDM Market, short for Nam Dae Mun Farmers Market. The Duluth store, the chain’s first, opened in 2005 near Gwinnett Place, and NDM now runs eight stores around metro Atlanta. Same address, same phone number, and the same huge selection of produce, meat and seafood from around the world.

The name comes from Namdaemun, the “Great Southern Gate” in Seoul, South Korea’s first National Treasure, where a busy market of fish, grain and fruit traders has grown up since the Joseon era.

Weekday mornings are the calmest time to shop; weekends get busy. The store is wheelchair accessible. NDM also has an app with weekly ads, digital coupons and rewards, and a “Find Item” tool on its website for checking what a store carries.

NDM Market also has stores in Lilburn, Lawrenceville, Norcross, Stone Mountain, Morrow and two in Smyrna, with a Chamblee store announced on its locations page. All list the same 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily hours (the Norcross store stays open until 10 p.m. Sundays and Mondays).
