Now Jack Hill State Park
Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park was renamed Jack Hill State Park in 2020 to honor the late Georgia senator Jack Hill. Same park, same place in Reidsville; look for the new name on signs and on the Georgia State Parks website.
This 662-acre southeast Georgia park is a favorite for picnicking, family reunions and golf.
Picnic tables and shelters surround a 12-acre lake where visitors can rent boats, kayaks and aquacycles during warmer months. Docks are available for land-loving anglers, and the park’s 18-hole Brazell’s Creek Golf Course features a pro shop. Kids will love the seasonal splash pad and miniature golf.

Camping
The comfort station has a washer/dryer, and one picnic shelter with 3 tables is available to all campsites. Maximum 6 people and 2 vehicles per site.
Tent-Only Campsites
Hold 1 or 2 tents. Water, 30-amp electric, picnic table, grill and fire ring. No cable hookups.
Campsites with Electricity
40-foot sites hold 1 tent, 2 tents, a pop-up trailer, or a trailer or motorhome up to 40 feet. Water, 30-amp electric, picnic table, grill and fire ring. No cable hookups.
Full-Hookup Campsites
50-foot sites for pop-up trailers, trailers or motorhomes up to 50 feet, with sewer hookups and 50-amp electric. Not suitable for tents.
Picnic Shelters
All visitors are required to have a ParkPass.
Picnic Shelter #1
Open-air shelter close to the lake, with restrooms between it and the group shelter.
Picnic Shelter #2
Open-air shelter by the lake. Pews by the water sit closest to this shelter, making it ideal for weddings. Restrooms are about 100 yards away.
Picnic Shelters #3 & #4
Open-air shelters near the playground, each with a large grill. Shelter #4 sits under the oak trees.
