Located on the shores of Lake Walter F. George in southwest Georgia, this 770-acre park has an award-winning 18-hole Meadow Links Golf Course and Pro Shop. The park’s marina and boat ramp offer easy access to the 45,000-acre lake for fishing and boating.

Lodging
New cottages and campground (2025): Georgia State Parks turned the park’s historic lodge into a Visitor Center with a conference room, classroom and store, and added 10 new cottages and a 32-site RV campground with full hookups. Reservations & Cancellation Policies
Cottage Cancellations
Cancel at least 3 days before arrival for a refund; a $10 cancellation fee applies per reservation. Changes made less than 3 days before arrival count as a cancellation and forfeit the deposit.
Group Shelter Cancellations
Cancellations/transfers must be made at least 30 days before arrival; a $10 handling fee applies. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable and non-transferable. One free change with 30 days’ notice.
General policy: cancel at least 3 days before arrival for a refund (a handling fee applies per reservation); changes made less than 3 days before arrival forfeit the deposit. For 7–14 day cottage stays, cancellations 30+ days out receive a deposit refund minus the cancellation fee; cancelling less than 30 days but before 72 hours of arrival, you may request a written refund, receiving a full refund minus the fee if the unit is rebooked; cancelling within 72 hours forfeits the one-night deposit. Check-in is between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m., check-out before 1 p.m.; not arriving on the first night counts as a no-show and forfeits the deposit. One reservation change is allowed at no charge with 3 days’ notice; additional changes incur a handling fee.
