This 447-acre state park is on the western shore of Clarks Hill Lake. It is named for Elijah Clark, a frontiersman and Georgia war hero who led pioneers during the Revolutionary War.

A recreated Log Cabin Museum displays furniture, utensils and tools circa 1780. Open weekends April–November.

Camping & Cottages
40-Foot Campsites
Holds 1 tent, 2 tents, a pop-up trailer, or a trailer/motorhome up to 40 feet. Water, 20 & 30-amp electric, picnic table, grill, fire ring, cable hookup. Comfort station with washer/dryer. Maximum 6 people and 2 vehicles per site. All sites first come, first served.
Walk-In Campground
Hiking campers only, no vehicles, no organized groups. Two-night minimum on weekends. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and grill, located between the pioneer and day-use areas. Central bathhouse near the parking area; tent pads are small, holding one large tent or two pup tents.
Pioneer Campsite
A primitive, rugged site for groups only, 10-person minimum, located by itself on a hillside near the lake. Water is 75 yards away; no electricity at the site itself, though the picnic shelter has electricity. Restroom 100 yards away. No showers.
Cottages 1–20
Two-bedroom cottages sleep 8, two double beds per bedroom. One full bath. Bed and bath linens provided. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker and microwave. Fireplace (wood not provided), heat/AC, cable TV. No phone. Screened porch, picnic table and grill outside.

Enclosed shelter near the miniature golf area, not near the beach. Central heating/AC, kitchenette, inside restrooms. Seats 175. Security deposit may be required; renter must check in at the office and sign a rental agreement. ParkPass required.
Shelter 2 (Beach House)
Enclosed shelter overlooking the beach area. Central heating and air, kitchenette, inside restrooms. Security deposit may be required; renter must check in at the office and sign a rental agreement. ParkPass required.

All visitors are required to have a ParkPass.

Open-sided covered shelter near the miniature golf course, 150 yards from restrooms. 4 wooden picnic tables, 2 small grills, water & electricity. Maximum 25 vehicles.

Open-sided covered shelter near the lake and miniature golf course, 150 yards from restrooms. 4 wooden picnic tables, 2 small grills, water & electricity.
Picnic Shelter #3
Open-sided covered shelter next to the lake near the boat ramp, 200 yards from restrooms. 4 wooden picnic tables, 2 small grills, water & electricity, plus a big BBQ pit.

Reservations & Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of a reservation must be made at least 3 days prior to arrival to receive a refund; a cancellation/handling fee per reservation will be charged. Changing your arrival date less than 3 days before the scheduled arrival counts as a cancellation and forfeits the deposit.
7–14 Day Cottage Reservations: Cancellations 30+ days in advance receive a deposit refund minus the cancellation fee. Cancelling less than 30 days but before 72 hours of arrival: request a refund in writing; if the cottage is rebooked for the original dates, you’ll receive a full refund minus a cancellation fee. Cancelling within 72 hours of arrival forfeits the one-night deposit. Deposits are required for all reservations and are posted when the reservation is made.
Check-In/Check-Out: Check-in is between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m.; check-out is before 1 p.m. Campers must register and present a reservation confirmation before setting up. Not arriving on the first night of your stay counts as a no-show – your reservation is cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
Reservation Changes: One change is allowed at no charge with 3 days’ notice; additional changes incur a $10 per-reservation handling fee.
