| This is a good opportunity to become a Big Green Egg owner as all the eggs and accessories are greatly discounted for this one-day event. Pre-purchase is necessary and the new eggs are “slightly” used for a few hours on the day of the event by
very experienced cooks and chefs. If you’re arriving Friday, May 17th, we’re having a free “Meet and Greet” event at the Anderson Music Hall within the fairgrounds. This is a good opportunity to meet and mingle with many of the Big Green Egg cooks from around the country and meet new friends. There will be several eggs set up to cook on and everyone brings a covered dish to share or something to cook on the egg. This is a very popular and fun event and there will be a bluegrass band there, and, at the eggfest, to keep you entertained. This local economy gets a big boost from the eggfest as well. Last year the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds were booked solid all weekend. There are a number of lodging opportunities in the area such as Holiday Inn Express, Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa as well as numerous cabins and B & B’s. Pre-registration is suggested and is available on our website at http://www.mountainegg.com |
