12th Annual Georgia Wine Country Festival - 6/1-6/2, 6/8-6/9, 6/15-6/16, 6/22-6/23 & 6/29 - 6/30/13

Dahlonega's Original Wine Festival returns for the 12th Year in 2013 with free general admission. A Wine Garden featuring guest Georgia Wineries from around the state will be presented for a fee inside the festival. Participating Georgia Wineries during the month include, Boutier Winery, Chateau Elan, The Cottage Vineyards and Winery, The Georgia Winery, Mercier Orchards-Hard Pressed Cider, Sautee-Nacoochee Vineyards, Three Sisters Vineyards and more.

Georgia BBQ by three different vendors will be available for purchase on alternating weekends. Vendors include Godfather’s BBQ of Loganville, Rib County BBQ of North Georgia and North Carolina, and Atlanta’s Bone Lick BBQ. Also, Georgia wines, hard cider, and Georgia beer from Sweetwater Brewing Company will also be available to purchase.

Music during the weekends includes the Polite Jazz and Standards of Tommy Dean and Mike Ewbank AKA Moose & Squirrel, Old Time, Americana and Bluegrass of The Buzzard Mountain Boys Hootenanny featuring Special Guests Ann Whitley of the Rosen Sisters, Doug Singleton, The Three Arrows and more.

This year’s participating charity is Waypoint Center of North Georgia. Handcrafted furniture and items made from recycled wine barrels by Waypoint Members will be offered for sale as a fundraiser for the center.

Festival hours are every Saturday from 11am-5pm and Sundays from 12noon-5pm. Call for more information.
