Whale Tail Paddle Adventure

Join us for a 2 to 3 hour scenic excursion to discover the northern Lake Lanier waters. This moderate to rigorous trip will go to Whale Tail Point, the park's largest peninsula. Bring food and water; it takes a lot of energy. 4 single kayaks, 4 tandem kayaks, and 5 canoes will be available for rent. Pre-registration required. Meet at the boat ramp.Admission Fee $20 with personal kayak/canoe. $30 solo kayak rental, $50 tandem rental. Parking Fee $5.

Lake Lanier Shore Sweep

This annual cleanup extends all the way from the upper Chattahoochee to our park. We will have volunteers walking the shoreline, a crew on a barge, and volunteers paddling. Mountain Music Festival

Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty Bike Ride

Coming on September 24, 2017, and taking place in Georgia's premier cycling venue, the Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty boasts many of the same roads and mountain climbs as the elite Tour de Georgia. The Six Gap Century's ultra challenging route takes you up and down six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains. The Three Gap Fifty's alternative route offers half the gaps and half the distance, but is nevertheless a demanding and challenging course at 58 miles. Elevations range from 1,400 feet to 3,364 feet. We are also pleased to announce the 8th Annual "Valley Route" Bike Ride. This 35-mile valley option is a great introduction to the infamous Six Gap Century and boasts some of the most scenic mountainside in the Southeast. This new route will cast a special spotlight onto Yahoola Valley, Turner's Corner, and R-Ranch in the Mountains. 100 miles. 11,200 vertical feet. 3,000 friends.

Helens Alpine Village Arts and Craft Show

Agri-Fest Country Market & Pottery Show

Agri-Fest Country Market is a fun, one-day family event in downtown Cleveland, Ga. During the festival, you will enjoy strolling through the agriculture-related vendor booths. Pick up some fresh produce or local honey. Pottery Comes to Town, sponsored by the White County Historical Society, is included in the festival.
