Etowah River Water Trail Rodeo - 9/21/14 at 1-8pm
Join dozens of Etowah River lovers for a nine-mile paddle through the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area near Dawsonville followed by a barbecue dinner, live music and a kayak giveaway. The Etowah River Water Trail Rodeo is a fundraiser to help build the 163-mile-long Etowah River Water Trail, a boating trail stretching across north Georgia from Dawsonville to Rome. Help us build new public access points along the river! Tickets are $50 or $90 per couple and include boat rentals, shuttle service, dinner and a chance to win a new kayak. Behind the Scenes Tour - 9/21/14 at 4-6:30pm
Get up close and personal with animals not seen on regular zoo visits. See babies from the nursery, including bottle-fed kangaroos, deer and more! Experience and take part in the training and enrichment of animals from owls to zebras. Allow 3 hours for the tour, including time at your leisure in the farm petting area. We hope you, your family, church group, business, school and friends choose to get lost in adventure! Experience a mind boggling quest through eight acres of corn and exciting fun activities for the whole group! Jaemor is featuring our maze, pumpkin train, hayrides, apple cannons, duck races, farm slide, honeybee observation hive, a cotton exhibit, photo areas, and a brand new petting zoo this fall season. Bucks Corn Maze - 9/21 & 9/27-9/28/14
Buck's Corn Maze is more than just a maze!!! It's GREAT family fun for all ages. The 12 acre maze is planted in a 20 acre field next to Cochran Creek with a beautiful view of the Appalachian Mountains. Come get "LOST" in the maze. As much fun as the maze is in the daytime, it is double the fun at night. Bring your Flashlight and test your skills in the dark. The maze is "Haunted" on Saturday nights in October. Come if you dare! Drinks & snacks are available or bring a picnic and spend the afternoon. Bucks Corn Maze is open only on weekends during September, 7 days a week during October and only the first weekend during November. The Union County Historical Society invites musicians to perform a free concert in the courtroom at the Old Courthouse. On most Fridays, every bench is taken, the balcony is filled to capacity, and people line the walls of the renovated courtroom to see the show. Dahlonega Ghost Walk - Historic Hauntings Tour - 9/26 - 9/27/14 at 8pm
The 14-location guided tour takes guests on an eerie and intriguing journey full of local tales and legends. Tour guide and founder Jeremy Sharp weaves through streets, back alleys, rows of historic buildings, and the historically significant local cemetery.  He has studied Dahlonega’s history and has also worked with paranormal researchers using thermal cameras and other equipment to document some sightings. Tour is approximately 1.3 miles long. Tours, all on paved, designated walkways, with the exception of Mount Hope Cemetery, end in front of the Visitors Center, 13 South Park Street. The Appalachian Jam gives traditional mountain music players the chance to get together and celebrate the kind of music that has been performed in the Appalachian Mountains for generations. Haunted Dahlonega: Spirits, Legends & Lore - 10/4, 10/11 & 10/25/14 at 7pm
The Friends of the Dahlonega Gold Museum Historic Site, a not-for-profit organization, is conducting fun, interactive tours suitable for adults and children. A new narrative is being written by local author Trisha Slay, who is working on a paranormal mystery novel. “Haunted Dahlonega: Spirits, Legends & Lore” explains why Dahlonega is such a hotbed of activity, includes Cherokee folktales, and explores local mysteries and benevolent hauntings. All proceeds from the tour benefit the Dahlonega Gold Museum, to assist in keeping it open seven days a week. Cost is $10 per person. Tickets are available at the Dahlonega Gold Museum. Haunted Dahlonega: Spirits, Legends & Lore - 11/1/14 at 7pm
The Friends of the Dahlonega Gold Museum Historic Site, a not-for-profit organization, is conducting fun, interactive tours suitable for adults and children. A new narrative is being written by local author Trisha Slay, who is working on a paranormal mystery novel. “Haunted Dahlonega: Spirits, Legends & Lore” explains why Dahlonega is such a hotbed of activity, includes Cherokee folktales, and explores local mysteries and benevolent hauntings. All proceeds from the tour benefit the Dahlonega Gold Museum, to assist in keeping it open seven days a week. Cost is $10 per person. Tickets are available at the Dahlonega Gold Museum. Bucks Corn Maze - 11/1 - 11/2/14
Buck's Corn Maze is more than just a maze!!! It's GREAT family fun for all ages. Dahlonega Ghost Walk - Historic Hauntings Tour - 11/7 - 11/8, 11/14 - 11/15, 11/21 - 11/22 & 11/28 - 11/29/14 at 8pm
The 14-location guided tour takes guests on an eerie and intriguing journey full of local tales and legends. Tour guide and founder Jeremy Sharp weaves through streets, back alleys, rows of historic buildings, and the historically significant local cemetery.  He has studied Dahlonega’s history and has also worked with paranormal researchers using thermal cameras and other equipment to document some sightings. Tour is approximately 1.3 miles long. Tours, all on paved, designated walkways, with the exception of Mount Hope Cemetery, end in front of the Visitors Center, 13 South Park Street.
