Our Boos and Brews event combines many of Dahlonega Walking Tours signature paranormal stories with many new stories on a .5 mile paranormal walk. The tour includes stops at Dahlonega's charming, and in some cases, haunted and historic pubs and restaurants. Tours include six pub stops and all stories are completely indoors. 68th Annual Winder Christmas Parade - 12/10/16 at 4-7pm
The Annual Winder Christmas Parade is known for its decorated floats, thousands of parade attendees and the time of fellowship. Lake Lanier Parade of Boats 2016 - 12/10/16 at 10am-10pm
Decorate your boat, for the parade/help raise money for Toys for Tots/Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes. Hosted by Lanier Islands, the fleets will be leaving from the Marinas and traveling to Sunset Cove. The parade will continue into Sunset Cove and be on display for spectators. Each fleet will have a leader that will lead them into the islands, this will help to ensure that we avoid traveling near any dangerous low water. Once at the islands, you will have a reserved slip and can spend the night. The Islands has also offered us a discounted room rate of just $139 to stay the night at the Resort, so be sure to make your reservations now! Hartwell Christmas Parade - 12/11/16 at 3:30-5pm
This Sunday afternoon parade features floats, cars and more, warming the streets of downtown Hartwell, Ga., with Christmas spirit. The parade starts at 3:30 p.m. The parade begins at the parking lot at US 29 and Hwy 77 and travels along Franklin Street, ending at Hart County High School. Behind the Scenes Tour - 12/18/16 at 4-6pm
Get up close and personal with animals not seen on regular zoo visits. See babies from the nursery, including bottle-fed kangaroos, deer and more! Experience and take part in the training and enrichment of animals from owls to zebras. Allow three hours for the tour, including time at your leisure in the farm petting area. Join us for the Christmas Tree Toss. Always the weekend after Christmas on scheduled open days and tours! Curious about what the animals do with their recycled trees? Come see for yourself! They love dragging them, eating them, rubbing on them, tearing them up, and much more! This event is great fun and enrichment for both animal and human kind! Do you have a tree to recycle?
