We are located just outside of Athens in Colbert, Georgia. Pick-your-own strawberries or we will pick them for you fresh daily! Please call ahead for your pre-picked orders.
Produce and More - We offer Strawberries, Strawberry Ice Cream. Tours and Field Trips. We provide you with a bucket to put all the strawberries you pick. If you choose to keep the bucket it will be an additional small fee. However, feel free to bring your own containers from home. You may always bring your Moon Farms Country Market bucket back with you when you return!
We accept cash and checks only. No pets.
Moon Farms is a third generation farm that originated over 70 years ago. L.M. Moon along with his wife, Reba, began farming in the Colbert area, outside Athens, Georgia during the early 1940s L.M. and Rebas son, to develop a love for the farm and get involved with the business. Russ and his wife, Mandy, decided to build four broiler houses themselves in 2005. Russ and Mandy are now proud to raise the fourth generation on the farm. Their daughter, Maggie, already shows a great love for farming as well!
Today, Moon Farms has grown to over 1300 acres of owned and mostly rented land. This land includes 600 acres of pasture and hay used to help produce over 170 head of cattle. Additionally, Moon Farms predominately harvests soybeans, wheat, and canola on the remaining 700 acres of land. Over the past couple of years, Russ and Mandy made the decision to take the farm to a new level and add 2 acres of you-pick strawberries and Moon Farms Country Market.
