Corps Campgrounds at Lake Hartwell
Coneross Campground is located on the Seneca River arm of the northern end of the expansive Hartwell Lake. The campground is conveniently located near Anderson and Clemson, SC, near Hwy 24. This campground has a total of 106 sites, 94 of these sites have water/electric hook-ups, and 12 are non-hook-up primitive sites. All of the sites are spacious and mostly shaded. For your convenience, the following amenities are located within the campground: boat ramp with courtesy dock, dump station, shower/restroom facilities, playground, park attendant, and swim beach. All electric sites have standard 50-amp service. Campground is open May 1 - Sep 30.

Family site fees range per night. Single family sites with hook-ups, accommodate one RV and/or any number of tents that can fit on the impact pad. Three vehicles are permitted at each site. Alcohol is prohibited. Gates open at 7 am and close at 10 pm. Call for fees.

Directions - From Interstate 85 in South Carolina, take exit #11 on Hwy 24 towards Townville. 1.5 miles past Townville, take right turn onto Coneross Creek Road. Directional signs will lead to the park entrance. Coneross Campground Interactive Map

Crescent Group Camp Park - This campground is ideally located on the "big water" near the Hartwell Dam. All sites are waterfront and have a breath-taking view of the lake at sunrise and sundown! The campground is divided into two loops that can be rented to two separate groups or you can reserve the entire park if your group size requires the space! This area is perfect for groups wanting to have an area all to themselves. All sites have 50-amp electric service and water spigots. Loop A has 10 sites and Loop B has 22 sites. There is a group shelter in each loop for functions and gatherings. Shower/restroom houses are located within the campground. Singing Pines Recreation Area is nearby and provides launching ramps and designated swim beaches. There is no park attendant on duty at this campground. Open May 1 - October 31 by reservation only.

The sites in this area will not accommodate large (38 ft. +) units. Parking at the site for vehicles is limited to approximately 1 vehicle, with additional parking areas provided within the loop. Directions: The campground is located off of SC Hwy 29, 14 miles south of Anderson, SC, and 8 miles north of Hartwell, GA, and only 3 miles from the SC/GA state line.

Georgia River Recreation Area Park - This campground is located on the Savannah River just below the Hartwell Dam in Hart County, Georgia. It offers a great setting for primitive camping. This campground does not have electric hook-ups but does have a centrally located water spigot. Small RV’s are welcome but sites are most suited for pop-ups and tents. Sites are spacious and privately located off the river. Restroom facilities are conveniently located in the park and there is access to a picnic area and two fishing piers. There is no park attendant on duty at this campground. Reservations are not accepted for this campground.

Open May 1 through Oct. 31. Campsites are $6 per night during most of the season but are free from mid-Sept through Oct. 31. All sites are limited to two tents or one RV and one tent. All pets must remain on a leash or penned at all times for your safety and theirs. Alcohol is prohibited. All campers must register at this Hartwell Lake Office (Visitor Center) located on Hwy. 29, one mile from the Hartwell Dam.

Directions: From Interstate 85 in GA, exit #177, proceed on GA Hwy 77 until the city of Hartwell. Take Hwy 29 north 6 miles, turn left at signs for Hartwell Dam & Powerplant. Entry into park is located on the right side of the road.

From South Carolina, take Hwy 29 South, turn right immediately after crossing the bridge at the SC/GA border. Entry into park is located on the right side of the road.

Milltown Park Campground - For those wishing to camp in a more primitive style, Milltown offers the perfect setting. Milltown Campground is located in Hart County, GA, and only minutes away from Hartwell, GA. This campground offers some unique camping options - sites 1-25 are single family sites and there are three group camp loops also located within the campground. The three group loops are ideal for families or groups wishing to camp together at a discounted price.

Loops A and B have a shelter with 110 amp power and a water spigot. Loop A is a gated area with 10 sites. Loop B has 7 sites and Loop C has 9 sites. There are no hook-ups at this campground. Community water spigots are placed throughout the campground. The campground has the following amenities: shower/restroom facilities, water spigots, pay phone, boat ramp, courtesy dock, playground, park attendant (volunteer), and dump station. Open May 1 - July 5 (Thurs - Sun only)

Family sites are $10 per site per night. Loops A and B are $60 per night each, loop C is $50 per night). The entrance gate at the park opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. All single sites are limited to two tents or an RV and a tent. We require that all pets remain leashed or penned at all times for your safety and theirs. Alcohol is prohibited.

Directions: Milltown campground is just minutes from Hartwell, GA, on GA Hwy 51 (Reed Creek Hwy) 4 miles north, then turn east on New Prospect Rd for four miles and then follow the directional signs to the park.

Oconee Point Campground is located at the northern end of the lake on the Seneca River and close to Clemson, SC. This campground has 60 sites and all are equipped with electric (50-amp) and water hook-ups. Camp sites are spacious and private and located near or close to the water. Shower/restroom facilities are conveniently located in the park along with the following amenities: dump station, playground, water spigots, park attendant, swim beach, courtesy dock, and boat ramp with security lighting. Open May 1 - Oct. 31.

Single family sites are $22 per night with a maximum of ten people per site. Double family sites are $46 per night. The gate opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. Single family sites, with hook-ups, accommodate one RV and/or any number of tents that can fit on the impact pad. We require that all pets remain leashed or penned at all times for your safety and theirs. Alcohol is prohibited.

Directions: From Interstate 85 in SC, exit #11 on SC Hwy 24 towards Townville, SC. 1-½ miles past Townville, turn right onto Coneross Creek Rd. Proceed 2.5 miles turning south onto Friendship Rd then 3 miles to park entrance.

Paynes Creek Campground is located on the Tugaloo River arm of Hartwell Lake in Hart Co., Georgia. Paynes Creek offers a total of 44 sites with water and electric hook-ups (50-amp service). 37 of those sites are waterfront! Shower/restroom facilities are conveniently located throughout the park as are the following amenities: dump station, playgrounds, swim beaches, pay phone, courtesy dock and boat ramp. Many sites are private with heavy vegetation growing between sites. Open May 1 - Sep 8.

Single family sites $20 per night with a maximum of 10 people per site. Double family sites are $44 per night. All single sites accommodate one RV and/or any number of tents that can fit on the impact pad. The gate opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. There is a gas station/convenience store located within 3 miles of the campground. We require that all pets remain leashed or penned at all times for your safety and theirs. Alcohol is prohibited.

Directions: From Interstate 85, take GA exit #177, proceed on GA Hwy 77 south for 5 miles. Follow directional signs last 10 miles to campground. From Hartwell, GA, take Hwy 51 north until you reach a 4-way stop, turn left and follow directional signs to park.

Springfield Campground is conveniently located only minutes away from Anderson, SC. Springfield Campground has a total of 79 sites with 75 of those sites being waterfront! All sites equipped with electric (50-amp) and water hook-ups. Springfield also has double sites for those wishing to camp together. Shower/restroom facilities are conveniently located throughout the park. Other amenities at the park include: dump station, swim beaches, playground, park attendant, and boat ramp with courtesy dock and security lighting.Open April 1 - Oct 31.

Single family sites are $22 and the double sites are $46 per night. The gate opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. All single sites accommodate one RV and any number of tents that can fit on the impact pad. There is a gas station/convenience store located within 3 miles of the campground. We require that all pets remain leashed or penned at all times for your safety and theirs. Alcohol is prohibited.

Directions: From Interstate 85 in SC take Exit #11 or Follow 187 South until you reach Providence Church Road (directional signs will lead you directly to the park entrance).

Twin Lakes Campground is one of the most popular campgrounds on Hartwell Lake. The campground is located at the northern end of the lake in SC. Clemson University is only minutes away making Twin Lakes the campground of choice for Clemson Alumni during football season! Twin Lakes has a total of 102 sites, all with electric (50-amp) and water hook-ups. Shower/restroom facilities are conveniently located throughout the park. The following amenities are also available: dump station, play grounds, swim beaches, boat ramp with courtesy dock, park attendant, and a picnic shelter. Open Apr 1 - Nov 30.

Single family rates range from $20-$22 per night. Double sites are $46 per night. Single family sites accommodate one RV and/or any number of tents that can fit on the impact pad. We require that all pets remain leashed or penned at all times for your safety and theirs. Alcohol is prohibited.

Directions: From Interstate 85 in SC, take exit #14, Hwy 187. Going north on Hwy 187 towards Pendleton, SC. Immediately after passing Clemson Research Center, take a left on Fant's Grove Road, follow directional signs to park.

Watsadler Campground is located near the Hartwell Dam overlooking the "Big Water" section of the lake. This campground has a total of 51 sites, all with electric (50-amp) & water hook ups. Almost every site (49 of them) in the campground is waterfront with a fantastic view of the lake! This campground features single and double sites. Other amenities at this campground include: shower/restroom facilities, dump station, pay phone, playgrounds, park attendant, and boat ramp with courtesy dock and security lighting. *December 1 - February 29 sites 1 - 23 open only. Open year round.

Directions: From Interstate 85 GA, take exit #177 onto GA Hwy 77 south towards Hartwell Georgia. In Hartwell, GA, take Hwy 29 north towards Anderson, SC. Approximately 4 miles out from Hartwell, look for the Watsadler sign. Entrance road will be on your left-hand side of the road. From Anderson, SC, take Hwy 29 towards Hartwell, GA. Approximately 1 mile after crossing the SC/GA state line, the campground entrance will be on your right-hand side of the road.
