Welcome to www.n-georgia.com Discover Georgia's Kolomoki Mounds Historic State Park - This unusual 1294-acre park is an important archaeological site as well as a scenic recreational area. Seven earthen mounds within the park were built between 250–950 A.D. by the Swift Creek and Weeden Island Indians. The mounds include Georgia’s oldest great temple mound, two burial mounds and four ceremonial mounds.

Campgrounds Info
50 foot Premium Lake Campsites hold the following equipment: 1 tent, 2 tents, a pop-up trailer, a trailer up to 50', or a motorhome up to 50'. Each site has water, 20 & 30 amp electrical service, picnic table, grill, and fire ring. No cable hookups. The comfort station has washer/dryer. Not all sites are waterfront but all have water view. Maximum 6 people per site. Maximum 2 vehicles per site.
Pioneer Campsites - This is a primitive, rugged site for groups only. 10 person minimum. Site is located by itself. Sites #1 and #3 have fresh water available. No electricity or bathroom facilities. Sites also include picnic tables, fire rings, and grills.
Amphitheater
The Georgia Pacific Amphitheater is 40' wide by 30' long by 10' high. Has a concrete floor. Is handicapped accessible. There is electricity, water, and lighting. Tables or chairs are not provided. All visitors are required to have ParkPass.
Picnic Shelters
Picnic Shelter #1: Open-sided covered shelter, located near Lake Kolomoki and within 100 yards of a restroom. There are 3 extra picnic tables located in the area. All visitors are required to have ParkPass.
Picnic Shelter #2: Open-sided covered shelter, located near Lake Kolomoki and within 50 yards of a restroom. There are 5 extra picnic tables located in the area. All visitors area required to have ParkPass.
Picnic Shelter #3: Open-sided covered shelter, located on a hillside overlooking Lake Kolomoki, near playground equipment and within 50 yards of a restroom. There are no extra picnic tables in the area. All visitors area required to have ParkPass.
Picnic Shelter #4: Open-sided covered shelter. Located in the middle of the park's playground equipment. Shelter has an attached restroom and is accessible. There are an additional 8 picnic tables nearby. All visitors are required to have parkpass.
Picnic Shelter #6: Open-sided covered shelter, located across from the campground facing the swimming pool and within 100 yards of restrooms. There are 3 extra picnic tables in the area. All visitors are required to have ParkPass.
Picnic Shelter #7: Open-sided covered shelter, located in the woods across from the campground and 200 yards from nearest restroom. There are 2 bbq pits and 2 extra picnic tables. All visitors are required to have ParkPass.
Group Shelter
Group Shelter #1 - Enclosed shelter. Located above the Dam of Lake Kolomoki. Shelter is enclosed with screened windows. Has a stove, refrigerator, restrooms, outdoor grill. AC, limited heating. All visitors are required to have parkpass.
Group Shelter #2 - Enclosed shelter. Located above the Dam of Lake Kolomoki. Formerly known as the Museum Shelter. Has a stove refrigerator, restrooms and small outside grill. Shelter is air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. All visitors are required to have parkpass.

Reservations Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of a reservation must be made at least 3 days prior to the date of arrival in order to receive a refund. A $10 cancellation/handling fee per reservation will be charged. Changes in arrival date made less than 3 days prior to the scheduled arrival will constitute a cancellation and forfeit of the deposit. 7-14 day Cottage Reservation Guidelines: All cancellations received 30 days in advance will receive deposit refund minus the $10 cancellation fee per facility.

If a customer requests to cancel less then 30 days in advance but before 72 hours of arrival, the customer may request refund in witting to the site. If cottage is rebooked for the time period originally reserved, site will have Customer Service issue a full refund to the customer minus $10 cancellation fee. If reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of arrival date no refund of the one night deposit will be given. Deposits are required for all reservations. Credit card deposits are posted when the reservation is made.

Check-in - Check-in is between 1 pm and 10 pm and check-out is before 1 pm. Campers must register and present a reservation confirmation before setting up. If you do not arrive on the first night of your stay, you will be counted as a no-show, your reservation will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your deposit.

You may make one change without a charge, provided a 3-day notice is given. Additional changes will incur a $10 per reservation handling fee.
