6th Annual First Saturday Cycle Tour - 5/1/10 at 8 am
Hometown Warrenton invites you to go “cycling” in Warren County , which includes bicycle enthusiasts riding various courses throughout Warren County. Registration for the ride will be on May 1st in the Warren County Courthouse from 7:30 am – 8 am, with a pre-ride briefing at 8 am. Pre-registration is available at www.warrencountyga.com, or call 706-465-9604. Registration fee is $20, and proceeds will benefit the local Mentoring Program, the Early Read Program, and family events downtown. There will be four different bike routes (12, 26, 50, and 100 mile routes), and the rides will start and finish in front of the Courthouse. Three rest stops providing snacks and restroom facilities supplied. Helmets are required. For more information, please call Cindy Rivers.

Cartersville Century Bike Ride - 6/26/10 at 8 am - 4 pm
Registration begins at 6 a.m. (pre-register for T-shirt), Ride begins at 8 a.m. Join more than 800 participants from across the southeast in this popular Century Ride benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bartow County. T-shirt, snacks and lunch provided with registration. Ride includes 15, 30, 55-mile and century options. Three Mile Thrill fun family ride for all ages goes by Etowah Indian Mounds State Historic Site. Barnsley Gardens is a featured rest stop on other routes. Ride is fully sagged with R&R every 10-15 miles along the route. $30 fee.

Back Roads & Bikes Charity Ride - 8/7/10 at 10 am
Registration 9 am - 10 am, and the ride begins at 10 am. All bikes welcome. Entry fee is one hand for $25. Free t-shirt and goody bag to the first 40 participants. Each additional hand is $5. There will be door prizes, too. Proceeds go to Hometown Warrenton, Inc., a non-profit community organization. Vendors are also welcome to set up along Main Street at no charge.
