Beautiful Backroads Century Bike Ride - 9/18/10 at 7 am - 4 pm
The fully-sagged rides begin and end at the Anheuser Busch Brewery with a wonderful meal at the finish and the option for a self-guided brewery tour. The rides are 12 miles, 27 miles, 44 miles, 64 miles and a century, 105 miles. Rest stops every 15-20 miles with juice, water and goodies to eat. Pre-register or register event day at 7 a.m. Ride begins at 8 a.m. rain or shine.

Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty Bike Ride - 9/26 - 9/27/10
Georgia's largest mountain ride is held annually the last Sunday in September. Six Gap Century: This ultra-challenging route takes you up down six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains. Test your stamina with more than 10,700 feet of vertical climbing over the 100-mile course. Elevations for the six gaps in this ride range from 2,949 feet to 3,490 feet. The toughest climb, Hogpen Gap, tests even the toughest riders, averaging a 7% grade for seven miles, with sections as steep as 15%. Three Gap Fifty: This alternative route offers half the gaps and half the distance, but is nevertheless a demanding and challenging course. West Georgia Quad - 10/23/10 at 8 am - 4 pm
The West Georgia Quad will raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta in Douglas County to help continue to provide a positive place for youth to learn and grow. Hundreds of cyclists will bike 35-100 miles through four west georgia counties (Carroll, Douglas, Haralson, and Paulding) to make a difference and help today's youth. 2010 is the first year for this event and the City of Douglasville hopes to expand the benefits to other Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta and local charities in the future. Race Participants are required to raise $50 each for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. Each participant must pay a $35 registration fee.
