SB&T Bike Race Weekend - 3/3 at 8 am - 6 pm & 3/4/12 at 8 am - 2 pm
Rock, Roll and Run in Downtown Albany. The annual SB&T Bike Race will take place in downtown Albany the first Saturday of March with a time trial and criterium. Mountain Biking Basics Series at Smithgall - 3/4, 3/11, 3/18 & 3/25/2012 at 1-3 pm
This four-part series offers participants a "how-to" in mountain biking in cooperation with Woody's Mountain Bikes. Basic skill building will progress to longer rides over four weeks. 15th Annual Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Bike Race - 4/14/12
A challenging contest with lots of surprises and some of the most stunning scenery anywhere -- plus the famous Blue Ridge hospitality racers have come to expect and enjoy. So get your team ready to run, paddle, mountain bike and navigate in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. Athens Twilight Criterium and Festival - 4/27 at 9 am - 11 pm & 4/28/2012 at 8 am - 11 pm
32nd Year! This is a professional cycling event and festival fun for fans, families, and racers. The Twilight Criterium is a favorite spot on the national cycling tour circuit, both for its unique evening format and the large crowds that gather in Athens' vibrant downtown retail and and entertainment district. Welcome back the return of Twilight Music presented by the UGA School of Music and The Melting Point and the Computrainer Grid Qualifiers. Get up-close-and-personal with your favorite pro cyclists as they battle it out Friday night for coveted starting places in America's best criterium Saturday night. Founded in 1980 by Gene Dixon, the Athens Twilight Criterium was the first nighttime race in the United States in over 60 years. What began as one race with 40 competitors has since grown to offer eight separate race classes and 150 cyclists competing in the main event, the men's criterium, a 60-km race around downtown Athens.

First Annual Bikes Galore Biking for Books-Leather meets Spandex - 5/5/12 - 8am-4pm
Our annual Back Roads & Bikes Charity Ride and Poker Run combines with our annual Cycle Tour to raise money for the Warren, Let's Read Together Program, which provides a free book each month to Warren County children, 0-5 years old. All proceeds go to this program.
Same-day registration for the motorcycle ride at the Depot Welcome Center, 9-10 a.m.. $30 per bike. Includes one hand of poker, lunch and a ditty bag and t-shirt to the first 40 registered. Riders eat free. Extra hands of poker are $5 each.

U.S. Army Mountain Ranger Run & Open House - 5/5/2012
You are invited to come watch as some of the Army's finest soldiers demonstrate the skills and professionalism of the American Ranger. The 2012 Open House will be similar to 2011 with a Skydiving Demonstration by Fort Benning’s Silver Wings, a combatives demonstration, mock ambushes, FRIES /SPIES demonstration, CASEVAC demonstration, mountain climbing and rappelling technique demonstrations, weapons and equipment exhibits from WWII time frame to the present, and a range where civilians could shoot blank rounds through an M4 Rifle, M249 SAW and a M240. Rangers who fought in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Desert Storm, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan will be represented. On hand will be local Boy Scouts and JROTC/ROTC units. Equipment used by the US Army Rangers in carrying out their mission will also be on display, including helicopters, night vision devices, weapons, and parachutes. Visitors are able to see examples of the mountain phase of Ranger training and numerous displays. 5K/15K Mountain Ranger Run. Both races start at the Washega 4H Camp and wind through the Chattahoochee National Forest in a hilly loop along non- paved Forest Service roads & trails. Come up early and run the morning away. For the somewhat more adventurous crowd, there will be a 34K Mountain Bike Race. The course is challenging enough for advanced riders yet forgiving enough for beginners. The 20th Annual Challenge of the Centuries Bike Ride is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Hartwell. The ride will be held in May in Hartwell on Lake Hartwell. Siege on Fort Yargo Adventure Race - 6/2/2012 at 8 am - 2 pm
Join us for this adventure race with teams of three people. Racers will paddle, run, mountain bike and face other challenges through this scenic park. The Siege on Fort Yargo is designed to attract new racers to the sport of adventure racing. While perfect for beginners, the course will still challenge experienced teams of 2 or 3 throughout Fort Yargo State Park. The race will include 10-12 miles of mountain biking, 5-6 miles of trail running, 2 miles of "paddling", orienteering points and a few special events. Basic navigational skills will be needed to complete the course. This is an unsupported race. The event will be limited to the first 100 teams that register. Enjoy a fun weekend bicycle ride in Columbus, Georgia. There are mileage options ranging from 10 to 75 miles each day with a century also available on Saturday. 2012 Georgia BikeFest Logos
The Bikefest is returning to Columbus and Muscogee County. Come and experience fall bicycling at its best in Columbus. The City of Columbus did a fantastic job in 2011 and is going all out to make sure the riders enjoy their visit again. There will be various mileage options available each day in addition to a Century Ride on Saturday. The terrain is gentle rolling hills. You can tent camp by the Chattahoochee River, indoor camp, or motel. Rest stops will be located along the route every 15-18 miles stocked with PowerAde, fruit, cookies, pbj sandwiches, etc. SAG support and technical support will also be available. If you can't ride the entire weekend, then join us for a day or two. Cost is $35 - $90. Tour de Tugaloo Bike Ride - 11/3/2012 at 10 am
The 2012 Lainie Weade Memorial Tour de Tugaloo will originate at Yonah Dam in Toccoa, GA. There are several courses with varying distances and terrain to choose from including 22, 42, and 62 mile routes. A 5-mile family run ride is also available for younger or casual riders.
